Guest book- 1 year of Karka Nirka Blog

Time is running really fast. It is a year today – 1st aniversary of  Karka Nirka blog.

As usual my thanks to members of Min Tamil forum, Ponnyin selvan Yahoo group and other google group/orkut community members.Without the two groups this blog would not hae devloped even a bit. I must confess I have made lot of blogs out the topics dicussed in Ponniyinselvan Yahoo group.

A special thanks to Dr. Kannan sir for writing a guest blog as the 100th post of Karka Nirka.

In this one year other than gaining some knowledge , I have gained some friends, people like VJ (Vijayakumar) of Poetry in stone blog, Kapila  Kuttiyattam dance artist. There are many others too whom I came to know just because they were readers of my blog.

I would also like to mention Dr.S.Palaniappan. He has constantly replied to my emails and patiently answered all my queries regarding Tamil Sangam literature. Without this blog I would have never come across scholars like Dr.N.Kannan, Dr.S.Palaniapppan,Dr N.Ganesan, Venthan Arasu sir, SPS sir and authors like  Divakar sir, R.Venkatesh( Kaviri Mainthan).

The blog is dedicated to the works of great scholars like Dr.Zvelebil, Dr. A.K.Ramanujan, Dr. George L. Hart. A sad news in this year was the death of Dr.Zvelebil. I was really affected since without his books not even a single line in this blog is possible. I was so moved when his daughter thanked me for writing a homage for him.

Last but not least big thanks to my Tamil guru my Mother who has struggled all her life to teach me Tamil and my Father who doesn’t miss single post of Mine.

I have said everything from my side and I really want to know what you think about this blog. has there been any improvement over the year? should I improve on something?

    முதலில் பாராட்டுகளையும் நல்வாழ்த்துகளையும் கூறிக்கொள்கிறேன். இன்னும் பதிவுகளைப் பார்க்க வில்லை. ஆனாலும் அருமையான வலைப்பூவாக இருக்குமென நினைக்கிறேன்.

    தமிழ் கற்பித்த அன்னையினையும், ஆர்வலர்களையும், நண்பர்களயும் நினைவு கூர்ந்த விதம் மகிழ்ழ்ச்சியினை அளிக்கிறது.

    Dear Vairam, you have said and shared so much that it is hard to believe the blog is only a year old!! I am reminded of the tamil proverb ‘moorthi siridhaanalum keerthi peridhu’, great work, keep it up !!

    எப்படி பாராட்டுவது தங்களை, தங்களின் இந்தப் பணி மிகவும் பாராட்டுதலுக்குரியது. அகம், புறம் என பல அற்புதங்களை வலையேற்றும் தங்கள் பணி தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

    hai sir…
    accidently i came across ur blog while searching 4 a flower..grt work done…marvellous..actually i was searching 4 a ancient tamil flower 2 know about it details..oly ur blog helped me..
    thanks 4 d contribution u hav done 2 d world of tamil literature…keep continuing…not only writing in tamil literature is important but making it available understandable 2 current youth is highly important..u r doing tat oly…

    congrats..do more…try 2 put more photos of other things tat were present during ancient tamil literature period…like d type of weapons,dresses,veesels…etc…r any other thing used by them which is mentioned in tamil literature..ths vl make ur blog a encylopedia of ancient tamil period…ths is jst a small idea of me 2 add more meaning 2 ur blog..all d best 4 ur forth coming works..
